My sister is car-free (I can't say she doesn't have a car, I have to say 'car-free') so she can't drive me back the next day. We'd have to get a cab from the bar home, then from home to the bar. She lives in Henderson, so it gets expensive. A round-trip cab-ride can add up to $100.

The buses here are goofy. We have to walk 2 miles and wait for 217, then get dropped off and wait for 110, then get dropped off and wait for 201 to get to the strip. Taking buses from Henderson to the strip takes hours, literally! It is almost as if, dare I say, Las Vegas doesn't have the best public transportation?

Perhaps I should bite the bullet and just get multiple DUI's? Or one of us stays sober while the other drinks by thineself? Are we getting an underground subway system like Boston has anytime soon?

*Think I could just rent a hotel on the Strip. There's a handful running under $100...like Luxor

In Boston the subway doesn't run much past 8pm and the commuter rail doesn't run much past midnight.

The Designate charged a flat rate within a certain mile radius. Beyond that, they charged per extra mile. I can't remember what it was but I think it was well worth it. Obviously, it didn't generate enough profit for them though. Here we don't have hotels on top of each other or I do think that would be the best way. Plus, most people who are partying in a certain city area generally do not live too far, but far enough. I hate bugging someone to drive me to pick up my car and who knows if I would even pass a breathalyzer the next day!!

Now, I just don't go out much anymore.
