I have friends in the area and have gotten some tips from them and from lurking on this board.
Here are 6 of the condo developments I'm looking at: CIMARRON RIDGE, LEGACY CONDO, TROPICANA SQUARE, AMBER HILLS, PALISADES POINT, and PARK AVENUE.

Thank you. Does anyone have any info on the condo complexes I listed? I was just called by friends real estate agent so should be looking at them by next week.

If you don't drive, Summerlin and Henderson would be difficult. The valley doesn't have a very good bus system.

Honestly, I'd recommend buying at the lower end of your price range and using the leftover money to get a car for out here. This is definitely a car-oriented city.

Actually the bus system is ok. 1 thing I was looking at was the bus system, as driving is not an option, and all 20 on my list and within 10 minutes of a bus walking. My spine is fused from C1 down to the bottom of my spine that's why I'm retired (only 40). I did what research I could online now I have to see which places are most convenient for everyday living.

We have plenty of bus stops - that's not the problem. The problem out here is time-efficiency. If you have to take more than one bus to get somewhere, it can sometimes take hours.

To avoid this, just make sure that you live close (preferrably on the same street) to everything you need.

I've had to deal with buses for a while so I'm used to the inefficiences of public transportation but that's what I have to live with anywhere I live.

if you can manage to live on a direct route it's not TOO bad....altho 1 hour between busses is a little excessive. if they would run them every 1/2 hour it would be a GREAT system. 15 minutes would be paradise.....
