Meeting new people
We're both very personable and like to meet up with new people. Where are good places that are social, casual? We've hung out at dive-bars here (in Boston) as well as upscale places. I'm just concerned about about not meeting anyone we can get along with?
Any groups for Raider fans or Browns fans, (I've found some Red Sox and Yankees; we don't like the same teams), greyhound adopters (the racing dog, not bus), from MA or Jersey, any bars, cigar bars, etc., ...
I grew up spending weekends in NYC so I know cities can be stand-offish sometimes but I just want to be involved....
Anywhere I can volunteer...soup kitchen, cheerleading coach, ....any ideas?
Thanks...Kim

Try meetup.com which I have used for golf. You can find people that share all of your interests and then go to a meetup.

Browns fans??? There are some of us still left out there???
There are so many nice and fun restaurants/lounges spread all over the valley, where the environment is much conducive to socializing. Just to name a few:
Firefly (tapas restaurant; in between UNLV and the Hard Rock)
Blue Martini (lounge; Town Square Plaza I-215 and S. LV Blvd.)
Kona Grill (restaurant; Boca Park near Summerlin)
Settabello (a cozy pizzeria; Green Valley in Henderson).
Frequent places such as these, and, over time, you will meet very nice locals.
Additionally, the sports books in the local casinos (Red Rock Resort, Green Valley Ranch, M Resort, ...) will be full of locals watching their favorite teams.
Go Cavs!!!

If you want to meet fellow dog owners, try the dog park(s)!

Sorry, but I can't help you on the sports bars. For cigars lounges, I like the Las Vegas Cigar Lounge on West Sahara at Jones. The Greyhound Pets of America has a chapter here in Las Vegas. They do stuff all year, but their big event is their annual picnic on the last Saturday in October. I didn't make it last year, but I went the two previous years. How many Greyts do you have? I have three Iggies. Vegas has some great dog parks.
