Default Anyone familiar with the following apartments...

I am basically going to have to take an apartment sight unseen. Right now, I am looking at the following apartments, which are close to where I will be working (all in the area around E. Sunset, E. Warm Springs, S. Eastern, N. Green Valley Pkwy) :

Mesa Verde
Mandalay Bay
Players Club
Camden Tiara
Camden Commons

Conveniently, this is also the area in which I lived during a previous short stint in Vegas in 2004 (and I found the area to be perfectly fine and safe). I assume the area hasn't changed much?

I previously lived in the Mandalay Bay apartments (nothing great, but it was decent), but I know apartments can change greatly in a short time, so if anyone has any recent experiences with those apartments, that would be appreciated.

I am particularly interested in Camden Commons as they have an apartment available on the exact day I will be looking to move in (which is rare, and I have not found that to be the case anywhere else).

Any opinions or comments about those apartments would be much appreciated. And before someone suggests it, I have already looked at apartmentratings.com.

I can tell you that there are drug dealers are working those areas too. They are willing to sell their "sweet dreams" to anyone that will to pay for it.

The Walgreens at Green Valley Pkwy & Wigwam is a spot they have been spotted as well as the stores around the Green Valley pkwy and Warm Springs area.

And if you remember the Jack Binion story they also deliver...So it does not make much difference where you live does it?

The area should be fine on Camden Commons. Generally this chain is well liked...but I have no personal experience with that complex.

Camden is usually fine. Las Vegas Cajun is right about the Walgreens...Green Valley and Warm Springs isn't as great as it once was 5 years ago. The area around Mandalay Bay is going downhill and the shopping centers off of Sunset are having high vacancies.
