Default How Many Locals Have Missed Las Vegas the Last Week?

I've been here 13-14 years now and I've never seen anything like this, this time of year, all these clouds and humidity the last week. Is it ever going to end? I took my midnite walk last night, sat down on a bench somewhere, and I almost fell asleep, feeling so drained from the humidity.

I always thought this weather pattern was more likely to occur in late July or August. Whew! It's almost scaring me, that this might be the weather pattern here all summer.

Have others lived here longer and seen this weather pattern before? Please tell me this is highly, highly abnormal for this to happen so early in the summer season!

Yeah, I'd say that this is fairly unusual. It's usually hotter, drier, and sunnier.

Oh come on, we've only had a handful of clouds and it has only been a day and a half. The humidity is not even close to the average humidity you find every single day back east. It's a pleasant change and it will cool us off for a few days...all the way down into the mid 80s. Geez. We've had 36 straight days of above average temps, and mostly it's been single digit humidity. And yes, I've been here most of my life and have seen all kinds of weather all months of the year. It's either unusually hot or unusually cold, or unusually wet...but never unusually dry...and there is never any usual.

One April I was directing the local news on Ch 3, or it may have even been back when it was CH 2. Dick Gregg, who was the sports guy but also did weather then, had run out onto the set in his usual hurry and forgot to bring the weather report. So he had no choice but to ad-lib it. He said there was no rain in sight and none expected in the five day forecast. Normally that would have been safe to say at any time, but it just happened that it was raining when he said it, and it didn't stop raining for 30 days and 30 nights.

I'm LOVING this. I can tolerate the constant heat during the summer, but I really don't care for it. It can stay like this all summer - I'd love it!

Yes! Another person's that's loving it just like I am! I don't mind the heat, I just don't like how it's bright and sunny almost all the time; I miss my cloudy days back in Indiana. I've heard from several people now about the humidity, but it's having no effect on me.

It's cloudy and it might sprinkle a drop or two, and the humidity is still only 17%. That's high? I don't think so. In New York City it's cloudy and the humidity is 63% right now.

Well it was nice on Monday morning getting awakened by the sound of rain that fell in the NW at 6 a.m. I went out to my patio and watched it and it was fantastic since I just had new trees, roses, and various other plants installed recently.

Been kind of nice with the clouds the last few days, humidity is still no where near what is happening back in DC.

The humidity in PA has been 75%+ every day for the last week or so. It's like wearing a wool sweater in a steam room.

Enjoy Vegas.

Does anybody know what's the lowest the humidity will go in the eastern states? I bet it never goes below 50%.
