If I could find a decent house in Las Vegas for under $300,000 that was in a decent neighborhood and not so small that you have to step outside to change your mind, I might consider staying here for another 43 years. There are five homes for sale in my community; four are asking the same price as we are, and one is asking $609,900. Two years ago homes in here were valued at well over $600,000. The house directly behind me is on 2 acres and is valued at about 1.2 million. The guy next door to me had listed his house about a year ago for just over 1 million, then he decided to stay. Of course you can ask what ever you want, but if you ask less than someone might be willing to pay you've cheated yourself. All reasonable offers will be considered though. We aren't in a panic to sell, we'd just like to sell and move to Albuquerque.
And DASMITS don't get me started on California pricing. The reason Las Vegans can't afford these prices is that Calfornians invaded us and raised the prices without ever asking what they could have bought homes for. If Nevada and California were European countries, they would have been at war twenty years ago when the invasion started. In the late 80's, those homes that Californians paid $30 or $40,000 for were suddenly and without reason, inflated to $300,000. Californians started selling in droves and moving to Las Vegas where they were paying $125,000 cash for $90,000 homes. All of a sudden we were priced out of our own market. I read an article in the LA Times about what stupid rubes we were in Las vegas for allowing them to do that. Ever since, my good feelings about our friendly California neighbors have been strained.

And for a college educated person, they could have at least used some punctuation.
