Default Vegas Water Slide Parks

Are there currently any water slide parks open in Vegas? I recall there was a "Wet n' Wild" years ago but I heard it closed down.

Yes the idiots closed it down and never built on that site. They did the same with Scandia, our miniature golf place.
There is supposed to be a new site that they are building the new Wet n Wild on, somewhere out by Henderson or Boulder City. Someone here probably has info on it or if it's still in the works.

and they also closed Mountasia as well! Stupid real estate speculators that never did build anything...

LasVegasWet is supposed to be building on Las Vegas Blvd S, but with the way the economy is going, I don't think it will materialize quick enough...

Otherwise I've heard rumors about how Wet n Wild was gonna be rebuilt in Henderson and once I heard near Red Rock as well...

I found this article published in March 09:

Plans for a new water park in Las Vegas? - Las Vegas Sun

In the meantime, the Shark Tank pool at Golden Nugget is open to the public. It's kind of neat.

Yeah, gotta love the shark tank at GN. Closest to the reality of the saying "Swimming with the Sharks".

While not the same as a "water park" per se, the slides at the YMCA are pretty cool; although, they have implemented a swim test during the 10-minute break which you have to do each day you go before you can ride the slides. The rates are fantastic, $4 per day or you can get the summer pass which is $199/family and that gives you access to the entire facility not just the pool. Just got back from there with the family.
