(cause that one seems imprtant to me)When is the soonest I can come in and fill out the paper work for the job offer? ( Because the sooner you go in the better the chances are that you get the days off and hours you want or need)
I know theres alot more questions I could have asked. SO Since the time is getting near, Maybe some people can give their 2 cents on important questions to ask. Because some people have weeks between the time they get the call and the time they go in to fill out paperwork. Mine is a 6 days between the call and the time I go in. And in those 6 days I have alot of questions still. Hope this posts will help.
i was called today, i go in tomorrow

Hey Girl,
I did PM BeAnInsider twice, and he/she only got back to me once. He/she did ask me about my 2nd department interview, and the BeAnInsider also mention the department manager name I interviewed with during my 2nd interview, ask me if that was the person who interviewed me. I replyed and have not heard any response since......How about you beverage_server where you able to PM BeAnInsider before being removed?

Maybe BeAnInsider got overwhelmed with all the pms OR maybe got in trouble trough C.C. for leaking stuff... That's just my opinion...

Anyways Thank you BeAnInsider!!! wherever you are

This is my own personal experience but, in my department. (PABX Operator) they usually hire 2-3 part-time people but, they do get the max 32 hours a week, (because the company is avoiding to pay for medical insurance).

These part timers also have set days on/off also 8 hours a day just with 3 days off instead of 2. Now in our department we also usually have 1 or 2 "On-call" people. These people are not guaranteed any hours. (Usually 0-20 per week) and really only work when needed or when a full-time person calls in sick or goes on vacation.

The "on-call" crew are also usually first time operators, operators in training or operators with little or no experience in the department. (It's how I got started 8 years ago, it was the only way to get my foot in the door. I was told I could only be "on-call" and work my way up to a full time employee (if it was the Casino field I wanted to be in) To be in PABX you really have to have at least 2-3 years experience under your belt. This is also the way we hired at the Stardust. (Yea, I'm that old..lol) I worked in the Human Resorces Department way back when..

We should all meet up somewhere, sometime. I want to put some faces to these names! We've devoted this much time already..lol
Very good information here and I agree, even though I have a tough time knowing I am part-time, it's a start and I started that way before in the hospitality industry. Thanks for your insight and it's good to see encouraging information especially when some of us get a bit dejected.

Just to let everyone know that I'm totally excited for those of you who got offers already, considering that me and others who applied for cocktails are still waiting to see if we even get an offer.....But its been fun and very informative at keeping this forum alive. Thanks for keeping one another updated on their hiring process and other issues they had with the City Center process!!!!!! GO DODGERS.......GO PACKERS......GO LAKERS
