I'd say 'hang in there'. This seems to be what many are hearing; Job Offerings seem to be going out until mid-October.

If anyone cares to read back quite a ways on this thread, you'll read of people posting here saying that CC told them they'd be getting a call Sept. 18th, or whenever. Then those fortuneate applicants would get a call Oct. 1, much later than they had expected. It's up in the air at this point in time!

Good luck to all!

What is a cash team member?

Think about it...If I go to the casino and place a large bet on 9 numbers off the roulette wheel, most likely I am going to lose, so I should be expecting it. I am happy every time I hear that another member has been hired by City Center. However, some people here consider themselves already hired and are going to experience a big let down.

"Hope for the Best. Expect the worst"
I agree. I don’t think, at least hope not, that LasVegasDrunk , Airics, or others, may be trying to be negative, for the most part. But seriously, LVD, Airics, or whomever, you have to understand where many people on this thread are coming from! We’re in the worst economical times for almost a century. I hear people say all the time, ‘we’re all in the same boat’, but that’s simply not true. I will not state my personal business, but I hear stories all day that would bring a tear to anyone who is human’s eye. We’re all in the same boat somewhat, but if you have an income and a decent low cost of living with no unexpected misfortunate happenings recently in your life, you’re way ahead of the game. I hear about bad stuff (economically, layoffs, pay-cuts, foreclosures, etc.) happening to good, hard working people all of the time, especially nowadays. Some personal one-to-one PMs to folks in this thread have made me realize the strain many have been through in the past couple of years; and that being said, you have no idea where many good people on this thread are coming from or hoping for with CC.

Let me ask you this, LVD, Airics, or whomever; if you had a loved-one in the hospital that had a 50/50 chance of living or dying after some kind of accident or tragedy, would you encourage them to live by talking about their 50% chance of dying in the hospital bed? Just being ‘realistic’. You never see someone saying to someone in the hospital after an accident, ‘Bob, you’re going to be okay, be strong, it’s all right, but don’t forget Bob, you have internal injuries, so there’s a good chance you’ll die, too!'

It’s also very, very ‘realistic’ that many, if not possibly all on this thread, will get a job with CC. So let’s stick with that ‘possible reality’, at least at this point in time. We’re probably only a few weeks away from knowing all that needs to be known, but that’s still a few weeks of unknown and hopeful possibilities. 1 in 4 is not bad odds, especially in this town; I’d take 1 in 4 odds any day; have we not learned anything living in LV? LOL!

I'm sincerely not trying to point out anyone in particular on this thread.

Again, good luck to those who haven’t gotten the call yet! The next few weeks will bring much needed info!

I'm actually having fun reading this thread.

About a year ago, I took the Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam (for licensure as a Professional Engineer). It's the equivalent in my profession as the bar exam for attorneys or the medical exam for doctors.

The exam was multiple choice, fill in the dot, but it still took the darn exam people 12 weeks to grade the exam. Meanwhile, those of us who took the exam were on the message boards encouraging each other on while waiting for the results. Finally the results in. Some passed the exam. Others didn't. Most who passed posted messages on the board and everyone contragulated them. Very few of those who failed said anything until the next year when they studied a bit harder.

For those who have been rejected, don't give up hope. CityCenter will be continually hiring because they will lose people through normal attrition. Keep watching the job postings and apply again in the future.

Good luck to all, and we are rooting for all of you.

PIZZA 4 ONE,

I do like your candor, and I hope you get the call. If everyone on the thread was so nice like you, I probably would not post any negative information at all. I really was not doing it to upset anyone. I just do not like to see people getting a future let down. I have been secretly rooting for "most" of you to get hired. I say most because there are a few bad apples on this thread who are not nice people.

AMEN LVD! SAME HERE! Those few apples will probably end up at the DMV or some state job or maybe even the post office.

Just like LVD, there are a whole bunch of you I am rooting for.. esp. butterfly who started the thread..
