There are some people here who do repeatedly chime in with rather unhelpful bits of information and you just learn to put them on ignore or ignore them. It's really the only way to maintain here and just because you are indirect doesn't mean it is any less negative or any less insulting. Seeing one of the posters listed has insulted me in the past (or attacked), it can and does lead to a whole other sequence of postings.. Just keep that in mind, you'll pick up on who to ignore posts from and who to read posts from in time Bitter apples don't make good pie, let's put it that way

My interview went well so I will see where the salary scales for my "state job" and hopefully one of the other Guest Services posters here will have another opportunity (if it is needed)

I was at Planet Hollywood on Friday night. I parked in Valet, by the Miracle Shops. Pulling out of that driveway I had to turn right onto Harmon, the Las Vegas Strip directly up ahead.

City Center was awesome! With all the lights on, it's gigantic!! And beautiful! So unlike the other properties, it's sleek and modern looking! Aria and I guess Vdara, with those white lights on the top floors, their names stood out to me, probably because I've been following this thread.

Seeing CC from the highway, looking at the back of it as you're cruising down the 15, you can't realize how truly huge it is until you're in front of it. Just beautiful!

And to all those still waiting for that phone call, hang in there. What's to be will be.

I'm wishing all of you and sending you all good karma, protective angels and much, much good luck!

The ignore thing works great, I didn't know about it. Thank you for that!

I really was not doing it to upset anyone. I just do not like to see people getting a future let down. I have been secretly rooting for "most" of you to get hired. I say most because there are a few bad apples on this thread who are not nice people.

Just like LVD, there are a whole bunch of you I am rooting for.. esp. butterfly who started the thread..
Thank you!

I've never personally gotten a feeling of 'total negativity', for the most part, from postings on this thread, and I understand that much is based on just trying to be within the realms of 'reality', which has it's true concerns, also. It's just such exteme times. If there are few on this thread that you personally think 'don't deserve' to get hired by the CC, I'd just simpy suggest be careful of your wording, if you care at all for the other good people trying to get ahead in tough times that do 'deserve' to be hired by CC. It seems to me that most people on this thread that have taken time to post infomation and support, let alone find this thread, are people that CC would be interested in hiring, at least, hopefully. It's a quality in people that's difficult to find nowadays.

Actually, LVD, it's not me applying for a job at CC (but thank you very much nonetheless), it's a friend of mine. I've taken the time to follow this thread for a friend that I've seen battered and beaten for that past few years in these tough economical times. My friend is an extremely nice person and a very, very hard worker. That's another reason why I can wholeheartly respect what so many on this thread are going through.

Good luck to everyone here!

THANK YOU LVD......, This process is crazy, I'm currently a food server at one of the restuarants in the Venetian. I was told today by some of the Casino cocktail servers that they were offered full time positions at Aria, so even though the cc reps are telling me that I'm a top candidate and my status is still Active, I think majority of the offers are going to people who are currently cocktail servers, and or people who cocktail at some casino. Majority of my cocktail experience is from when I lived in california, and I do it occassionally now if I'm schedule in the bar at work. Also majority of the girls who were call for offers seem like that status went blank before the offer, mine remain active since july/august. Anyways Thanks for rooting me on. We'll see how it goes. I continue to remain POSITIVE

After my last post I wanted to withdraw my application today Monday because I spoke to a CC rep that told me there will be no more JO's going out for bartenders after october 2nd, but after reading some posts I'm starting to wonder if that CC rep was feeding me bull**** and that I should hold off on "the withdraw" The position I wanted to pursue is no longer up there. I'm thinking, even if they're still calling untill mid-oct
the shifts available are probably just the left over and I do not think it would be smart to quit a full time job for something like that, what do guys think
