I am not j2222 but I can tell you they call you to schedule that interview so there isn't something you do online for it. They will give you a couple days and time slots to pick from and then send an email reminder about the interview. After that interview you get drug tested but there have been conflicting assessments about what that actually means. I am kind of mixed about getting the drug test because in my experience companies don't usually waste their time testing you if you aren't one of the finalists (and I think someone wrote that when they had their test it was stated that they were finalist). I'll find out more tomorrow when I take mine hopefully but that's my extent of knowledge so far from this process.

This doesn't make sense completely....I already took my drug test. Didn't get a call either...just an email. Seems like your assessment is a bit off. No offense meant at all. Just sayin"

I agree with j222johnson. I have had 2 dept interviews and each time I had to schedule myself. However, there are 13 openings for my position, so I don't know if that matters. I'm just wondering
if I will receive a phone call or email to schedule the drug test.???

I am not sure what you are asserting but I am stating how MY experience was, just saying. I even stated my process was weird in that I have only done one aspect of the entire process online. If you doubt what my own experience that's your prerogative to do so and that's how it has gone for ME. The order I have gone is I applied back in February for a position went to the screening and my app went inactive (didn't make an interview). On 7/1 I applied for different position and scheduled a screening for 7/13ish. I was called around the 10th to skip that screening and go straight to a department interview which was scheduled DURING that call. I went to the interview (7/22) and was called the next day to schedule a drug test for 7/27 (between 9am and 2:45pm if you want to get specific). I got back from doing that today and was told I was a finalist and to keep my information current...

So in short I have scheduled ONE thing online, it was the initial screening which they called me up for an interview before my screening date had even hit. Keep in mind each department may be slightly different or perhaps because I had applied back in February for a different position my process was different I don't know. In any case, before you jump to some conclusion or judgment about my own actual experience try to remain objective on this board, it seems like everyone is quick to try to dispute someone's own experience which just seems silly.

Thank you.

I also think that each department is different. I have been reading this forum since I applied for a position at City Center. I have not had anything but the initial phone interview and my status says active. My partner has had a totally different experience. He applied online for a job and was booted out immediately because of one of the questions at the end of the process. Then he reapplied for a lesser position and had his phone interview. We drove out to Vegas for his dept interview and he was told he was hired on the spot. He didnt accept right away because we have to sell our house and make the move out there. He latter accepted via email with the dept manager and they traded several phone calls. Later the job he applied for was made inactive online and he called to find out what was up. A higher position then showed up on his account that he didnt apply for. He ask about it and was asked if he had a problem with being offered the higher position. Of course he said no. His drug test is this week. None of this was done online accept for the first application. He has had email and phone access to the dept manager since his dept interview. We still dont know anything concrete but it seems to be going well and we hope he gets the job.

BIG MISTAKE. You don't put off accepting a job like that under any circumstances. Remember, you can always withdrawal later on if you can't make arrangements to sell your house.

There is just too much at stake with the recession and the fast paced hiring process that City Center is partaking in. Hiring mangers donít care what your situation is. They want to know if you are ready to work.

Your partner may have shot himself in the foot.
