I've gone to one at Texas and none since... What few employers were there had you go online anyway.. I have been to many job fairs and found the one at Texas to be very disappointing. (could have just been the one I managed to attend, I don't know). A lot of "Amway" type employers.

I remember attending a job fair at the Tropicana Casino a few months before I got my current job, and I really didn't think it was worth it. There were a lot of "home business" schemes along with the Army National Guard and Border Patrol trying to recruit people.

They also had a City Center booth. LOL! We all know how many people have had good luck with these guys

There were very few legit jobs. I wasn't impressed and didn't find any good job leads.

OK i recieved the pre packet from Aria. All thats in it is an overview of FAQ's and a card with "temporary employ ID" stamped on it. thats it until my first day, except i had to go to the culinary union yesterday for pre enrollment and found out that the health benifits will start the day i start working, they said that 97% workers signed for union so i guess it will be a union house. so i start nov. 30 i have health insurance dec. 1 my pension starts right back up where i left it in the year 2000.

Actually, it was not a CC Booth, it was for alot of the MGM Properties...as for a waste, nope... It scored me an interview there and one at the Bellagio next week.

I was disappointed that StationCasinos wasn't there though. There were several other companies.. yes Avon and a couple schools were there, but I use these things to network. I also had my resume reviewed and redone, I went from a basic crap resume to IMO a really really strong one... We will see how it works out...

Perhaps it works for some people but for me it was utter crap. I have never seen a job fair with less actual employers in it than the one I attended. There were the Las Vegas Police Department, Border Patrol, a bunch of online schools, Avon, one temp agency who wasn't even taking resumes, and the rest were right up there in Amway status, pay in to get money sort of jobs that prey upon people who are desperate to work. I would like to say that it was full of reputable companies or that even that half of the companies were but it wasn't like that.. The library was the only actual job posting that was there, you had a few car dealerships that needed sales people... The rest wanted you to sign up for something or sell vacuum cleaners (promising huge returns but not telling you that you'd have pyramid to make what they were remotely promising), it was ridiculous. I have lived in 3 major cities and the one at Texas Station was the worst job fair by far I have seen.

Anyhow in other news I got my employee packet today, was fitted yesterday for uniforms so all seems to be progressing I was worried because I know some people had stated they were behind on their packets but I think you guys had started earlier?
