Default Railroad near Blue Diamond

Back again with a new question. Been looking at homes in the SW area of town and came across a cute little place that I love. Problem is it's about 2200 feet or so from the railroad tracks. I was wondering if anyone lives around the Blue Diamond area near the tracks and if so is noise a problem? Could the proximity to the tracks hurt resale value in the future? Any help/advice you can give would be great!

Thanks!!

Of course it could hurt resale. It might not actually be a bother but would definitely lower the number of prospective buyers in the future.

We're putting a bid on a repo property near that railroad. I don't think that track is used very often and if it is, it's not high-speed 60mph Amtrak trains. I have yet to see it being used.

The property I'm looking at is inside a cul-de-sac facing away from the track so it is a bit more insulated and hopefully won't be a noise problem.

I don't think it has a noise issue, but it does go at least once or twice a day...
