Default Newport auction results?

Did anyone hear the results of this auction? How many of the units sold/closed? Pricing?

Default Results of "Close-Out Inventory" Sale

@ bpunk:

While there are numerous people on this board who have insight into this, the only method to answering this is that I am aware of is to peruse the Clark County Assessor's webpage. By doing so, I see no recent transactions on any of the units offered for sale in the most recent "event" (was not an auction); I am sure there are caveats to this that others can chime in with, such as usual delay/lagtime before posting to the site etc.

That 2/1/2009 12345820 is the last transaction on the whole building. So none of the units sold in the transactions.

As well as answering questions. Could you give a review of living there?

There are a couple of things that might be widely useful..

Percentage sold...not in developer or successor hands?

Percentage occupied?

Percentage Owner occupied?

Percent of owners full time?

first of all, before I purchased here (4/09) , a client of mine who lives here and is on the Board told me the finances were healthy and now that I've seen the numbers, we are in great shape, even with all the foreclosures---I realize the HOA fees can seem scary to a lot of folks, but for hi-rise buildings, we're actually on the low side---35 to 40 cents/sq ft is typical---it includes as previously stated, 24 hr front desk security, pool/spa, gym, water, sewer, gas, garbage, wireless access in the lobby and skylounge---residents responsible for electric and cable/satellite---approx. 15% of the fees goes towards the reserves

there has been a lot of move-ins the last couple of months---i would say we're about 50% occupied---need some time to figure how many are owners like myself---the most people I've ever seen at the gym is 7, and that was a holiday---same with the pool---sometimes, the private parties do get out of hand, but overall, I'm extremely happy to be living here

getting in and out of here is very convenient and close to everything---have saved a whole lot of gas---the neighborhood is shady but more barren than anything else---crime stats aren't any different than when i was living in the far northwest

the problems: 1. the hard water messes up the pipes---we'll be getting a softener installed in the next couple of months
2. garage door breaks down a lot---we're deciding on a new design

those are the basics

keep the questions coming
