Sherriff card Gaming was done away over 5 years ago.
WRONG maybe in your county be almost every county in Nv requires a Sheriff card for every job and also Legal brothels...you need a sheriffs card to be a prostitute or ANY position including a cleaning person in a brothel. Almost every gril is a felon in most brothels or is on probation for misdemeanors............depending on the county most can get a Prostitution SHeriff's card if the felony is over 5 yrs. Majority of all Brothel employees are felons

You cant have a conviction expunged
Yes you can it depends on the state and the county the crime was committed........IN nyc you can not but you can get a certificate of good behavior if you keep your record clean and you can also as the Gov to pardon you.

I was convicted of a drug possession felony 17 years ago. Im in the same position as the other guy, thinking about moving to Las Vegas. However, I would be moving here because of a school program at a University I was accepted into.

Second Question:

If you have a misdemeanor sex offense, will this prevent a person from obtaining a Sherriff's Card?

Every county in NV is different when applying for a SC no two are the same........not sure about the Sex offender issure but if your felony is over 5 yrs you can get a sheriffs card in almost every county for any job.

Thanks for the response. My background is in IT, and Im not sure if I would be working at a casino. Still they're saying that 90% require some type of Sherriff's Card.

My real worries concern the misdemeanor sex offense conviction in 2001.
