I've been here 10 years. Always called it Vegas.

LizzyVegas is on a distinguished road
I admit to calling it either one, and also taking much more exception to people pronouncing the name of the state wrong. Nevada should not be that hard to say! Pett Fours? that was cute.
Las Vegas literally translated means "The Fertile Valleys" so technically people are leaving off the "THE" which precedes many words and phrases in Spanish.
I actually do not find myself talking and using the title in RL conversations, since my friends and only living family all live here but I do admit to joking with various web friends around the world that I have been here so long, (almost 18 years?) now my corner of town is now "Lizzy Vegas" so if that means I am not showing respect for the whole name as given, so be it.
On a related note, I have also started referring to the state I was born and raised in as Cali, but joke that it is because at my age I don't want to spend all my energy on one word!
