Default Hoover Dam Bypass Milestone

So here's something pretty cool that I thought I'd share. I did post this in the AZ forum as well, but thought I'd post it here as well so you guys could see this.

I was going home to Kingman from Vegas last night and noticed they'd just inserted the last piece of the supporting arch into the bridge. So now there's a new permanent structure going over the Colorado River. The red streak down the middle is a trail of sparks from welder who's joining the two halves of the bridge together.

I know I'm pretty excited about this bridge. Thanks for looking.

Fantastic photos. Thanks for sharing. I was afraid the new bridge would be a scar on the traditional look of Hoover Dam, but I see from these pix that it will only add to the already amazing view.

Yes, but I won't be the first to drive across it.

Great Pictures! I know I hate that road. Gives me Car sickness. All the curves feels like I am going to fall off the side of the mountain. Has anyone ever driven the back way from Kingman, AZ to Bullhead City, AZ, through Oatman? I am deathly afraid of that one also. You see too many cars down off the sides of the mountains.
