I have seen a property recently go completely through foreclosure that I had a short sale offer on. My offer apparently went nowhere (I have no real visibility what happened there, between bank(s)/owners realtor/owner etc...quite frustrating)
Now that it is bank owned, is there any way of talking directly to the bank or do they generally not do this. It does not appear to have gone to the MLS yet.

Still struggling with this short sale/REO market and executing a deal I am comfortable with and I am a cash buyer!

That sort of thing happens. It is listed then the bank changes the locks and it is all over. In general the listing agent and your agent know no more than you do. It is likely to appear on the market in a week to a month generally at less than you offered. Frustrating is it not?

You can check the assessors data base to see who has it but the banks in general are impenetrable until relisted. One suggestion. If you go after it after it is relisted offer the same as before. It has not changed and that will increase your chances of actually getting it.

What does your agent say?
He/she got permission to talk directly to the lender involved.
If it is now an REO and listed, you can still offer on it. Has your agent submitted an offer?
Good you are a cash buyer.
