I believe on some players' cards applications they ask for your anniversary. Hey, for anything they might send me a "deal".....

Slightly off topic, but related to a post above in this thread. When playing machines, I have seen people actually take their card OUT and continue playing. What's up with that? Or do they just think that anything they do "different" might change their luck? Same thing with people pushing the "pay again" button and then all of a sudden changing to pulling the handle?

I am curious about people that have players cards and dont use them, maybe it's as someone mentioned, they think it effects the luck of the machine, like they wont win...

But I too love pulling the handle!! last time i was at NY NY they had this HUGE machine with the biggest handle id ever seen. i was so excited, and it turns out it was broken. nice, seeing as i gamble every blue moon and would have on this machine. lol

The Aliante buffet was good, but not stellar. Since it only cost us $10.80 for the 4 of us (military and 2 kids free) it made it worth the trip. Heck, that's almost cheaper than eating at home. The cigarette smoke drift from the casino was negligible. We sat at a table close to the buffet so I didn't smell it.

We will go back again when they have another deal.

Question? Do you leave a tip on the table for the servers who brought drinks, extra napkins, and cleared plates? I wasn't sure, so I left $3.

Thank you, good to know. I'm assuming water counts too.

Yup...and some of you will laugh but a busser at a goood buffet can make close to 80K a year. They get a 6 table station. Avg 3 guests per table per half hour ...Avg $5 per table per 1/2hour. Thats $60 bucks an hour plus the $8 bucks an hour they make on the books. 68X8=544 a day ...Thats $2720 a week!

But then my sister and her husband go to Fitz to the cashier cage and they say "oh, you're having an anniversary this month!" and give them some free play. When my sister asks how they knew they were having an anniversary the cashier said, playfully, "oh, we have our ways." Whaaaaaat??? They've been married over 40 years, got married in Reno, how did the casino know the date of their anniversay -- its a little intimidating actually!

Default 2-for-1 Buffet coupons

Hi Anna,

You can get the 2-for-1 buffet coupons from the Review Journal newspaper. It's cheaper to buy the paper than to pay for the full buffet price- unless your office or neighbor receives the paper then you can ask them for it like I do

Regards,
-Anne
