Besides Casinos, what other major companies are located here in Vegas? Or have operations here in Vegas?
Besides Casinos, what other major companies are located here in Vegas? Or have operations here in Vegas? I like the cost of living in Vegas but afraid to move their because I can't find any corporate/ high tech jobs...................

I have one, but it would reveal were I work at. Needless to say, it is a major high tech company.

Well, Rocket, there isn't a lot here. If you want to survive, you need to have a job and a lot of money when you get here. Casinos built Vegas and gambling is our major industry.
The casinos have huge networks but they are old IBM AS400 plodders. Nothing new and cool there. Unless you can spoof with the best of them, Vegas is not a good high tech market. I have 32 years of experience and I am looking in other areas. If I really WANTED to go be in IT, I probably could find a job if I looked hard enough. One of the big reasons I moved here was to do different things.

Our major corporations (located here in Las Vegas) all involve gaming. In fact, the largest gaming corporations in the world.
If you're looking for Oracle or Microsoft or Google type corporations here in Las Vegas, they ain't here.
