wife and I first timers and walked the strip last night. We ran into all these people slapping cards and handing you pics if naked women with numbers to call. We were like wtf?

I wanted to know what does the card slapping actaully mean? Why don't they just hand the cards out to you.

do these people get paid for this?

They are paid. I think the slapping is just to get your attention so they can hand you one of the cards.

Those are illegal aliens and have been handing out porno cards for years on the strip. Seems like its legal although they aren't.
One of these days, I'm going to make some border-patrol business cards up and hand it to them or maybe free tacos with an address in Tijuana, Mexico for them to go to.

If you don't want the cards, the key is to avoid any semblance of eye contact with the slappers.
It's hard to believe some of those folks are employed with the unemployment rate as high as it is here, although my guess is that they don't have a particularly good medical/dental/vision plan.

I'm not quite sure how he would know that, or why he felt the need to attempt to demean them with an insulting "joke" when all they're trying to do is earn an honest dollar.
