Hey there, I am currently living with my parents but have had it with them so I am moving out to Vegas next week as soon as the check clears. I plan to fly out there and rent a cheap hotel for 40 bucks a night for a week while I look for apartment studio's in the northern area of Vegas. I have found a few for around 600bucks like this one... http://www.apartments.com/partner/su...frm=1#MenuItem

how is that area of town? I used to live with my sister here a couple years ago so I know about the CAT bus system, and places to go, but I don't remember what N Jones BLVD was like. I also need a place that is furnished.

As for jobs go I don't have one lined up but I plan on going to the temp to hire agencies like Kelly Services Addeco etc... I have previous work experiences in the kitchen and manufacturing, packaging shipping etc....Id rather do buffet line work in the kitchen if possible because I'm not that great at cooking orders too fast paced for me. I also like shipping but it would probably be really hot in those type of environments.

My parents think I'm stupid which I might be because of how bad the job market is, but I have enough money I think? (5K) to get started, and I need to get away from my parents as fast as possible or Ill lose my mind.

I know I'm not really asking any questions but any advice you have for me? I plan to leave next Monday.
Appreciate the help

-Daniel

is it like 7101 smoke ranch road ? Thats where my sister and I used to live, The apartment complex was called Camden Breeze. Looking at the map it doesn't seem too far away from each other and the crime wasen't bad when I stayed there, but maybe it has changed.

This was the place I used to stay at http://apartments.camdenliving.com/l...ghborhood.aspx

Why do you have to move here to get away from your parents, why can't you get your own place in the town you already live in?

I have been to Vegas before so I know where a lot of things are. Ive used the bus system before and am used to it, and I had a lot of fun when I was here last time.

I forgot to mention that the place I live in is boring. and its hard to go around town without a vehicle.

I see you've done your research. Good luck bringing ice cream home from the grocery store when it's 115F in the shade.

Sounds like a reactionary move, maybe not good planning.

But... you can get rooms at places like Hooters for $20 a night weekdays.

Sometimes it's best to really have a plan in place first.
