Houses out in the middle of nowhere like Queen Creek are going for less, but there is no comparable to Vegas for a place 40 miles out with a lot of traffic for the last 15 miles of the drive. Prices in Phoenix and Vegas look pretty similar to me if you adjust for location and the more premium areas like Scottsdale carry a far bigger premium than you see anywhere in LV.

YOu think LVD?

How about...

Email View

I will admit it is not the high rent district.

I see little difference between Phoenix and Las Vegas other than Phoenix has a lot of older stock and some distant suburbs...

Olecapt,

That is not even close to being comparable as it is a trailer park house. I still contend Phoenix is quite a bit cheaper. I am obviously not going to post his current address, but I will post his former house that he recently sold for $86,000.....

My friend was looking at getting hired to work for corrections here in Nevada. Neither of us could find any houses even remotely close to what he could get in Phoenix for the same price.

There are ten homes there LVD...and they ain't trailer park...Play with the gadget at the upper left corner...

The home you are featuring is 1430 SF. I can show you at least 100 newer homes here under 90K. Much easier than the original assingment where there are only a few.

Vegas needs to legalize prostitution and light drugs like marijuana. That would be a major draw. Why else do people flock to amsterdam? for the canals and tulips?

I believe the powers that be have long considered the prostitution question and believe they are better off with things they way they are. They would lose more convention business than the sex industry would gain do to the open prostitution. But the non-official prostitution attracts as well as would the legal product.

Now pot...well maybe if you worked it right.

It's even better if you don't work at all!

(retired; not unemployed)

Actually we did not find that to be true. We started out that way and after 4 years or so took up RE as a diversion. Became a vocation but that is a different story.

I doubt we will retire again unless we become impaired.
