Moving to Vegas - any ideas for a job
I will be moving to Las Vegas in July 2010 to attend UNLV. I currently hold an associates degree in behavioral health.( I have a profile on Monster, career builder ) I currently work in a highschool as a paraprofessional/co teacher. I'll be a junior at UNLV and my major is secondary education earth and space science. Any suggestions on how to look for a decent job to utilize my skills or build on new ones? Or any places that are hiring that I could apply to? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

For an academic position, try searching through the university itself (in particular, within your Department). There may be a Professor/Faculty that is in need of an Intern/Assistant (if available, you'll have to apply for the position and then interview for it). Just a heads up: The better paying positions generally go to Grad/Professional students (but something is better than nothing, especially if it is related to your academic field). Even if nothing is available, someone from the Department may be able to recommend places to look. Good Luck!
