Default postal drop boxes

where in the heck are they? back in Ohio they were located almost on every other street corner. I have yet to find one here in Vegas. Do they not have them out here?

Funny that someone else noticed this too! I can't seem to find many, but I thought it was just because I would forget to look.

We were told to look for the clusters of mail boxes on the residential streets and that they had a drop box in that cluster. On the strip, we used the hotel's main desk to drop off letters and cards.

The last time I used one, the Netflix disc I dropped in there took three weeks to get back to the warehouse...

I usually drop letters in the slot in the mailbox cluster down the street, and everything else (including letters, if I know I'm going to be out) goes in the drop box AT the post office.

If you really want to use one, check here.

LOL. Yep. And I'm actually a Luddite and prefer to write checks every month even though I know that online payment would be easier, quicker, and cheaper. Fortunately, I have an individual mailbox at the edge of my property rather than a cluster down the street, so I don't have to go looking for a place to mail my bills and letters. That's right - I even still write letters sometimes in lieu of e-mail or text messages.

the blue boxes are few and far between.

imo, with all the neighborhood mailbox break-ins, they should put them at every grocery store and bank , at the least. a while back, they advised not to mail any outgoing stuff in those neighborhood lock boxes because they were being broken into. Post offices aren't that plentiful, so the blue boxes are the only other option besides taking your stuff to the mail room where you might work.

You can go into any hotel and drop mail at the desk- even if you are not a guest there. I do it here all the time.
