Just contact all the show producers and ask for an interview. Make sure you have a nice looking resume to take with you. In some cases you may need to go to hotel human resources and they can tell you who to see if it isn't them. Knocking on a lot of doors is, and always has been, the way to find a job. Any salesman will tell you that the way to make a sale is to be persistant. In this case you are selling yourself. Get the name of the producer first. But just get their name; don't ask to talk to them at that time. Then call back later and ask for him/her directly as if you know them. Get them on the line and ask for a minute of their time in person. Unless they insist, don't give them your pitch on the phone; just get the appointment. Make sure you tell them you only need five minutes. Use their name like you know who they are. You should be able to call the hotel and just ask what is the name of the producer of the Follies Bergere, or Zumanity, or whatever. remember, don't ask for them at that time; just get their name, then call back later and ask for them by name as if you know them. You may know all of this already, but by your question it's hard to tell. Also, the job may be a union thing. Maybe even the stagehands' union. Start with them. Call and ask if they know which union, if any, covers hair and makeup. You'll just have to do the legwork to find out all that stuff. In most jobs on the Strip in Las Vegas you have to know someone who will recommend you. One possibility for making contacts is to find out where auditions and rehearsals are held. Look in the paper for that. Get to know someone in a show or maybe a stagehand who can get you backstage to meet people. You may have to join a union first to be considered at all. Go around to the office trailers at the convention center and pass out business cards or something. Cards are cheap. Talk to people at the convention centers who work conventions and trade shows. They are usually happy to spill their guts and tell you everything they know about getting call ins and all the tricks of the trade. We have around 4,000 conventions and trade shows a year and they hire people for all sorts of things. There are thousands of people working conventions here, almost all of them are on call. If you can get into a convention hall, go up to one of the people running TV cameras and ask questions about makeup for TV productions. If you've never been to a major trade show, they record a lot of it. Speakers almost always are projected onto a giant screen behind them so the people in the back can see. Shows the power of TV that a guy will be standing right in front of you on a stage and instead of looking at him right there in front of you, you're watching him on the TV screen behind him. Watch for someone that's just sitting behind the camera waiting for something to happen and go up and ask if they have a minute. Or just stick your head into the production van sitting at the curb outside the convention center and see if anyone is free to talk. A lot of the crews' time on a TV production, like movies, is spent waiting for something to happen. If they look busy don't bother them. But if they're just sitting around be friendly with them. You might even go around to local dance studios and talk to instructors. Many of them teach dance by day and are showgirls at night. BTW: I'm curious to know if you are male or female?

Thank you for your response, I am aware of the salesman hussel I have to do. I am looking to get something more stable in a salon doing hair/make-up to stabilize an income and any chance I get do freelance work. I have found few webites with jobs most being out of the Vegas area. I am contacting as many hotels as possible and I planning on going in to as many as I can. I have a great resume/cover letter and cards to give and portfolio upon request. That is a great idea about getting in contact with show producer and dance studios, I will get on that. I understand connections and promoting oneself is of great importance in a city like this. Since I do not Know many people here I wll just have to continue to get myself out there and promote! Thanks again BTW:Female
