Default east coast transplant looking to rent on the strip.

ok, i'm moving in July... time to leave the snow... debating betwen Florida and Nevada... Fort Lauderdale and Vegas....

If it's Vegas for the first 6-12mo I want to rent on the strip, get the whole experience out of my system (not the gambling, but the food, clubs, bars, shows, etc...)

key is, I have a Chocolate Lab 60lbs... and she's coming with me...

I'd like to stay under $1,500/mo.

Any advice?

Oh, and every time I see one of these on here, everyone posts the negatives of living there... no one posts the positives!

Then you're looking in the wrong place. Because it seems like every couple of weeks or so someone starts a thread exactly like yours stating that all they hear are negatives and they want to hear positive aspects for living in Las Vegas.

Here's the most recent one from just last week:

Give me some postives

No problem. Just wanted to point out that there are a lot of good people here with a lot of positive things to say about Las Vegas.
