That's a long ways from the 89131 area the OP is looking at. Shouldn't be any smells up that way. If fact it should have the cleanest air in town.

Cleanest air in Las Vegas will not be in a developed area down in the valley, it would be up in the Mt Charleston area with lots of trees and less development.

In that case it wouldn't be IN LAS VEGAS. I said it was possibly the cleanest air IN LAS VEGAS because it is so close to the mountains. I've hiked all over Mt. Charleston, including the very top, many times. My favorite place to spend the night is under the huge bristle cone pine, in the meadow, right at the top of the switchbacks on the south loop trail. You don't even need a tent. If the OP buys near the Kyle Canyon Road, they will be 20 - 25 minutes from the trail head.
