Well it seemed cleaner with less graffiti, too.

The police, fearful of losing their jobs due to the severe drop in revenue,
went on a massive ticket-writing spree.

I even got a ticket, for the first time, driving 90MPH on the shoulder of a freeway. What will they crack down on next!!!

I noticed this week.....I leave for work every day between 5:30 & 6:15....Alta & Jones to downtown....all this week, leaving at various times, I was the ONLY car for a block in either direction....

Either the lemmings are rushing to the sea....or my driving has become legend

Agree. Seems like things have definitely been busier the past month or two, though not anywhere near what they were back in 2007 or so. Love not having bumper to bumper traffic EVERY morning on WB 215 from Eastern all the way to the airport connector... 99% of the time it's flying along at 80mph these days!
