So what's up with the sudden rush of new listings? I've seen more new homes on the market in the last 10 days or so than I've seen in the last 2 months. Has something changed?

Nothing obvious. The actual increase in SFR inventory is running around 25 per day as compared to 30+ earlier in the year. I can't think of a good reason for an increase in new units. The class of 2006 could be getting past their year to go to long term capital gains...but I don't think they have any.

Probably alot of investors trying to cash in. They didn't sell a year ago when they could have gotten alot more for their homes. If their home's just sit and nobody's living in them, they still have to pay the mortgage. So that must be fun.
