Do you guys know how long does it usually take after documents (I-140 and I-485) have been approved that you will receive actual card?

No idea. Have you checked that USCIS page where you can have an estimate depending on the location of the office that's taking care of your papers? (Nebraska, Texas, and... Vermont I think?)

I'm based in TX and it didn't take long at all maybe a week or two. I know there are many stories about people who has waited for months, and the USCIS does indeed warn that that might be the case, but for me it took no time at all after my I-485 was approved.

DH asked his coworkers and they said that the work permits for family members, etc. were fast but the card itself took "a few months".

They are H1B EB3, I don't know if that makes a difference.

My application is appruved on february they told mee my papers gone in california lm still weiting its to long lm weiting since november 2011
