We had an employee from Ukraine once. He spoke a lot about how backward it was in Ukraine as far as getting utilities like water, sewer, etc. to work well. My question was, since they are just as smart and capable as anyone else, why didn't they just fix them?
Answer: government structure and red tape.

Interestingly, when his family first moved here they had their phone cut off for non payment. He said in Ukraine if you didn't pay they wouldn't you off, so there wasn't much incentive to pay for things.

Reasons why I'm considering moving to the US with my family:
- Double salary for same amount of work
- Lower cost of living (e.g. gas prices 50% lower, not having to spend your whole annual salary to buy one car)
- Lower taxes (and ability to file a joint tax return)
- Socialist laws in my country (e.g. traffic tickets based on income)
- Weather

So tell me, how do I "build" my country to better suit me?

And still, many overfed americans have kids that they can't afford or even care for properly while they're out fornicating or doing drugs. It isn't like everyone in the USA is perfect, either, with all of its education and 1st world status.

There is a lot wrong in the world. Did you ever read 'Confessions of an Economic Hitman'? Have you ever heard of (what was formerly called) 'The School of the Americas'? The U.S. has its hand in keeping other nations from progressing. And what about our economic policies like NAFTA, which just end up driving the poorest of the poor from South of the Border here? You sound like a judgemental idiot that probably doesn't try to research the causes of problems...you just come to spread ignorance and spew hate. And as far as population, I wonder if you know that there are more white people in the world than actual Native Americans/mestizos. Yes, chew on that. Or that there was genocide perpetrated in the Americas against Indigenous people. Have you ever heard of Kevin Annet (may be wrong spelling) and the activism he does in Canada? Didn't think so. You should be glad to be living a privileged life on the backs of other populations. People like you disgust me.
I have zero respect for the people who continue to accept the culture of having ten children only to watch most of them die. Did she not know where babies come from?

That's exactly what I'm suggesting --- instead of running here to the land of welfare handouts, why not just learn some responsible behavior and limit family size to what they can afford? Change their own culture and country, we do not need these baby makers having children they cannot afford coming here even if the food stamps and Medicaid we provide them makes it so much easier on them.

These people aren't fleeing oppressive governments, many actually are fleeing democracies, no Central Americans or Mexicans are fleeing religious persecution, they're fleeing their own reproductive rates because having babies in the USA means all kinds of government handouts, back home they mean hard work.

If you try to stand up to them, you have to ask yourself, who do I trust ? the cops ? the politicians ? how do I know they are not working for the drug cartels ? keep in mind the drug cartels will butcher you and your family. The answer seems to be to immigrate to the US, get a job and send it back home, even if you're braking the law.
Mexico is a democracy and in fact Mexico has a growing middle class, the USA has a fast growing welfare class. The cartel violence affect those who were involved in cartel activities, ususally one cartel after members of another cartel. Innocent people in Mexico are not the targets of the cartels.

The cartels obviously have their members in the USA --- the USA is about the last place someone would really go to escape their cartel. Nothing at all would stop their drug lord boss from finding them here.

I had to leave my country because I knew that if I stayed, I'd be drafted and shipped off to fight useless conflicts in Georgia or Chechnya

We did build ours. Who do you think built it if not settlers and europeans? Don't forget the french and spanish were here before us. And nothing was done until we came.

We did'nt walk in get free shelter, food money, schools and medical attention. We made a superpower out of a wilderness in record time.

We also lost it in record time.

Do you seriously think if those kids were older, they would stop their families from entering the US illegally? I'm not buying it. Such kids are able to communicate in their native tongues and will have no problem adapting to their original home country. They can always come back again, THE LEGAL WAY!

Who is to blame for this? The illegals for taking it or the US government for giving it to them and not doing their job to secure our borders and ports? Both the Democrats and Republicans are to blame because they use the illegals for their political agendas. Both sides don't care.

-Cheers!

all the hispanics i know(including yours truly) works hard and while i have a professional job, most do not. I have it easy, they dont unless you think working outside in the hot son on top of a roof is 3asy. As for handouts, they just get benefits for their AMERICAN BORN children. Thats it
