Last year me and my wife who is a U.S citizen went to our first interview in USCIS over by L.A. My attorney told me that we passed it but, after several days we received a letter from USCIS that we need to go thru a 2nd interview....It's been almost a year now and we still don't hear anything from USCIS is it normal or is there something wrong with my case????

Maybe it would be a good idea to ask your attorney?

That is unusual. Check with USCIS to ensure no notice was lost (don;t wait for your lawyer to do it), and contact the lawyer.

you should be able to go to the USCIC web site, enter your case number and there you should be able to see your status. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do Depending on what it says there, you might want to talk with your attorney and/or the USCIS directly

Default Thank You

Thank You guys or gals for the big help.......Well I always check my receipt number at USCIS but, since we passed our first interview it say's there that they send our notification of the approved application petition to the National Visa Center, which I would think the USCIS don't have a jurisdiction to check the status. By the way I forgot to mention that my Dad who petition me has been accused of fraud "marriage" so I don't know if that is the reason why they are holding my case for so long. If that is the case It doesn't make sense to me why they passed our first interview since they know about my dad case.

We did but my attorney told me that the person that she talk too, told her that my status is on a que position so that's why Im asking if it is normal to have a year of wait to have your second interview scheduled
