I finally did it. I applied for my citizenship back in March and had my interview today and I passed. I will have my swearing in in about 4-5 weeks.
I am happy its over. For those of you who haven't had your interview yet, it was easy breezy. All you need to know your civics questions. They picked out 10, out of a 100, possible questions, and you need to get 6 of them correct in order to pass. You also have to prove you can read and write basic English.
I think the whole interview took 10 minutes at the most.
Today I swore in. I am now a US Citizen. It took from start to finish a little more than 3 months. Probably because my life is pretty uneventful. I know the average process is around 4-6 months I believe.
Thanks, this was a while ago now. I became a citizen July 1 st :-)
