Thank you all for the feedback. He recently started working with an immigration attorney whom I hope has steered him in the right direction, etc.

He gathered affidavits from mutual friends of him and his ex-wife, stating that that marriage was a good faith marriage, he produced copies of their emails over the past few years - the ones before the marriage showing their mutual affection and intentions for their future life together, he also produced copies of the email wherein he first discovered his ex-wife's adultery, etc.

He says now he has to wait to hear whether he is approved for permanent residency and whether they want to interview him and mentioned something about a one year extension of the conditional residency?

He received a one year extension. I guess I need to understand all of this is a bit better, so confused about the process.
