The new company must either file an E petition with USCIS, with a request for a change of employer/extension of status for you, or file a new visa application with the U.S. consulate in Spain for you. Neither is a "transfer" of your visa.
BTW, if they go the USCIS route, if you ever travel outside the U.S., they will have to go through the whole visa process again at the consulate before you can return.

Please post a source for these travel restrictions. Thank you!

Sorry, you're right (or the implication of your question is right). 8 CFR 214.2(e)(8)(vi) allows reentry with an unexpired visa and a new I-797 approval notice from USCIS.
The rest of my response is correct--the new employer needs to file a petition with a request for change of employer, or file a visa application at the consulate.
One thing I seem to not understand is why are you working under an employer as an E2 worker? Do you mean you are the spouse of the applicant for the E2 and therefore you can work since you have a SSN?
If that is the case you can work for another employer if you are not the main E2 applicant.
The main applicant in who's name the E2 is applied for can't work for anyone else other then in their own business and can't change the business without approval.
I recently had a conversation with someone who did that and is now going to apply for the different business but risking a lot right now and already had a lot of issues when they came here and let go of the employees since having employees is a requirement.
You can also have 1099 contractors licensed with your company since some business structures are different and that is excepted but it also seems some Countries are easier with approving an E2 than other Countries and this is what back in the days our lawyer explained when we spoke about different visa.
I work for a spanish company under E2 Visa.
If another spanish company is interested in me, can I transfer the Visa and work with them?
No.
