In a couple months I'll be traveling to Spain for work and will be staying there for a few months before returning to the US. My girlfriend wants to visit me on a tourist visa (a couple weeks after my initial arrival), but we're slightly confused about the process since she'll be staying with me rather than a Spanish citizen or at a hotel. Tourist visas typically require proof of where you'll be staying but at this point thats not something we'd be able to provide at this point since I don't even have my own visa at this point and won't have a non-company residence until a couple weeks after I arrive. How should we approach this situation?
Also, she is a Chinese citizen if that makes a difference (living in US).
Have her contact the Chinese embassy in Spain - they would likely be best able to help her. Chinese citizens, as you know, must have a visa to even visit. It might be best to get her a few nights in a hotel before she comes to stay with you, as well as give your work address. But again, contact the embassy.
