My uncle asked us to help him get a visa, because he misses us and wants to visit us. We did all the paperwork and because we have impeccable history and excellent jobs, he had no problem getting the visa even though it's hard for people from my country to enter the USA. Once he entered, we never saw him. It turned out that he has a girlfriend who is a naturalized citizen and their plan was to marry (we can't understand why they put so much effort in deceiving us and organizing this show., they should have just married). We are so hurt that he lied and we never even saw him or his new wife. We want to invite one of our siblings and are worried it could affect us if the authorities see that he entered with our invitation and then stayed. Shall we do anything about it or just hope we will not get in trouble because we got conned?
What paperwork?? For visitor visa he fills a DS 160 form and gives some one s name and address where he d likely stay and who would cover his expenses.( I hope thats the standard procedure for a visitor visa).
If you paid for his ticket and knew the arrival date and if you want **** him off in return, just give a missing complaint around the time his visitor visa would likely expire usually 180 days.
OP I know you are distraught but legally there is not much you can do now. You did help him get a visa and he has moved on now. If you can provide bonfide evidence that getting married was his intention from the start then maybe, just maybe you can get him in some trouble. But would all that be worth it?
What a dick. He didn't even invite you to the wedding?
