MEXICO CITY -- Demand in America for Mexican farmhands, landscapers and other temporary workers is surging as the Trump administration moves to curb immigration and renegotiate its trade relationship with Mexico.

That demand is prompting both countries to search for ways to ease labor shortages in key parts of the U.S. economy.

Amid Trump's Immigration Crackdown, More Mexicans Get Visas to Work in U.S.

I'm good with this cause those Mexicans are here legally. ^^^

Misnomer. Trump is not cracking down on "immigration" he is cracking down on "illegal" entry and other attempts to bypass legal immigration.

Trump may not hate Hispanics himself, but so many among his followers do. The facts meanwhile suggest that we should be making immigration easier here, not more difficult.

Why? Do you want China's population here?
The so called greatest country should be extremely hard to get into and crack the ranks, don't you agree?

I, too, cannot understand why you want to add more people to this country. Do you enjoy driving clogged freeways, riding in cramped commuter trains? We don't have enough water and other resources to continue to expand. Read about Bangladesh, India, Africa.

Not to mention in california there is literally not enough houses for people, due to all the immigration. And the houses and apartments there are so expensive due to this that there is a massive homeless problem.

No, I certainly do not agree. As our population continues to age, we will need more and more immigration in order to maintain a vital and vigorous workforce. That's simply where the march of time is taking us.
