Being able to get foods you love are tough when you move. I have friends that moved West, they miss our pizza, Taylor ham/ pork roll and a lot of other things. I miss being in North Jersey for a place called Jimmy Buffs that has an Italian hotdog that's greasy as heck but so good.
I've heard that too. I was actually thinking NYC after I get my finances cleaned up. It could feel like I'm visiting multiple countries in the US, and there's access to good GF foods and transit. I could also commute to see my doctors, if need be as well.

NY would be expensive, even North Jersey is expensive. You'll eventually find where your sweet spot to live is. It will have to be where there's public transportation.

I have a Canadian friend who takes public transportation, some days she spends 2 hours just to go 30 minutes away.

Yeah, that's another big thing about NYC. Eventually I'll find my sweet spot, but until I do, I'm enjoying what I have here.

Yikes! That's how it was when I went to Wisconsin and Michigan. Although, thinking back to Toronto... some spots were just easier to walk to than take the TTC.

That's where she's at, Toronto. She lost custody of her kids and to see them she has to take a lot of mass transit.
