Im British and desperatly want to move to the US but as may people have said the US' imigration policy is making really hard for us western europeans who aren't polish, russians etc to move legally. I just want to move to California, get a descent job and work towards being a Fire Fighter without having to invest money buy a business etc. I am not moving because of Muslims or anything political, i just want to move because England isn't really my kind of country and i am finding it impossible to migrate. *sigh*

You live in Cornwall, one of the nicest parts of Britain and Europe for that matter. What would people in gloomy Eastern Germany and many other parts of Europe say?
Go to Spain, lots of fires there, they might need you
I don't think people from Poland or Russia can easily move to the US, there are no special rules for them. They also need to fulfill the requirements, or win the green card lottery.

If they are Jews or pretend to be, they get special breaks. Another scam is to be a Jew (or pretend to be one) and move to Israel and then use that as their stepping stone to the US or Canada.

Some of these people have cases full of passports attesting to their citizenship of multiple countries (meaning countries that allow dual, triple, etc. citizenship, of which the US is one).

If they are ripoff artists, they will stay in the country that lets them freeload the most or allows them to chain migrate their relatives the easiest. There is really NO REASON to collect citizenships of multiple countries unless you are trying to get over on the taxpayers of some of those countries. Dual citizenship should be quite enough.

That's a new one on me. Do you have any supporting evidence - preferably something from the USCIS?

The US has a history of accepting immigrants based on RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION. Why is that such a stretch to believe? Many Jewish people suffered such persecution in their home countries. There have also been people who pretend to be Jewish to benefit from this.

Where is the link? Where are details?

Dane - I will keep reading his/her posts based on the entertainment factor of them.

I am not scrolling through the internet for your amusement.

If you choose not to believe that the USA specifically takes in people who have suffered religious persecution, then so be it.

As a matter of fact, the very first settlers in the USA came here because they were victims of religious persecution in their native England. The US has had a tradition of religious freedom ever since.

What I find "entertaining" is your sadly desperate attempts to discredit me when you know what I am saying is correct only because I do not fit into your "approved" way of thinking.

That's a tad different from: "If they are Jews or pretend to be, they get special breaks", isn't it?
