Although I feel for some of these people, I think we need to cut immigration altogether until we get our $hi* together. We definitely need to stop importing/allowing people to come here (legally) and receive benefits (low interest loans, scholarships, etc.) that our citizens should be getting. Maybe if we weren't constantly trying to figure out ways to make peoples lives from other countries easier, we could fix our country. I DON'T GET IT.

Regarding immigrants from Muslim countries, maybe it would help to allow only females in. Muslim women tend to be smarter than Muslim men, and of course much more peaceful. In Europe it is mainly Muslim men that are causing problems.

The women are starting to have less freedoms here too. More and more Islamic Schools are opening up right here in America. They have an anti-American message for the most part. I believe 2 of them in the D.C. and Ohio area were exposed as also having lots of Anti-Christian and anti-Jewish teaching material. Once these children go to these school, any chance of them assimilating or understanding what it is to be an American is lost.

In my own neighborhood, we have lots of social events...in these events we have people from all ethics backgrounds participate. of the 3 that I have went to not one Islamic person participated. Of the 2500 or so homes built here at least 5-8% are owned by people with Islamic names, however they remain isolated from the rest of the neighborhood.

I just don't understand why people that hate America want to be in America? would they be much happier immigrating to Saudi Arabia or Yemen?

Yes, same with most Muslims in Europe, they don't like unbelievers as they call us. They just want to enjoy the good things we have accomplished, even the freedom that they don't grant foreigners in their own countries. It's all a bit hypocritical
But there are also exceptions, mostly very educated people such as engineers or doctors who know that they kind of owe something to their host country.
With Turks, who pose the vast majority of Muslims in Germany, the problem is more related with ethnic and value differences. Actually, tribal mentality and Islam are a very dangerous combination. Some families are so crazy as to kill their own daughters because she wore no scarf or dated a German guy.

nonsense! we have a legal immigration system in place and everyone has the right to enter this country through legal channels. what makes these people think that they are so special that they can avoid legal immigration?

I'll grant you that the images of Arabic cabbies cheering in the streets of lower Manhattan while the World Trade Center burned and then collapsed weren't particularly welcome. But let's face it: unless you're what's referred to as a Native American, you or your ancestors immigrated here. What if the United States had closed the doors to immigration (on whatever pretext you prefer) before that happened?

Whoah!!! I believe you are a bit mixed up. The immigrants that brought my family, and many others to this country, chose to come here and ASSIMILATE!!!! Look it up....they ADAPTED to this country....learned the language....fit in......became AMERICANS!!!!!!!!!! They LOVED AMERICA!!!!! That DOES NOT go on with a great percentage of the legal and illegal immigrants that come to this country nowadays.

I agree. People who have towels on their head or turbins or big red dots on their foreheads should not be allowed to enter this country. Because their religion (Muslim, Buddhinest, Hindu) is NOT compatible with ours which is Christianity. In the 1890 to 1920 mass wave of immigration into this country we were very selective about who we allowed into this country. And look at all the problems there have been in the black/white area when you mix 2 races in a country. Look what happened to the former Yugoslavia. But the liberals and our pathetic leaders in government are saturated in this PC "oh everybody is equal, everybody is welcome, everybody is a decent human being" crap that they fail to protect us and our culture which has made this the greatest nation ever.

Unfortunately (fortunately?) there are few legal channels, or immigrant categories, that Mexicans can use to enter the country.

Mexicans face the longest waiting times for Visa processing -as long as 18 years. Only Chinese and Phillipine applicants face similar waits.

The link below shows that the concept of "anchor baby" to get the whole familia in is not a short cut to legal immigration.
