Endzone, I disagree on some parts. I have several friends/staff that are Indian Hindu's and Christian and several friends/staff that are Chinese Buddhist & Christians. They have integrated well into our American society. They are not strapping bomb or flying planes into buildings. I have a lot of friends that are 2nd generalization Indian American and Chinese American. They come over for BBQ, Football games, social events, etc. Many of them are professionals too. 80% of my US team are either Chinese or Indian. They are making America a better place.

Frankly, in my opinion that title goes to Egypt. If the USA is still an important country in the year 4000, I will change my mind

Speaking of Egypt, a non-Muslim friend of mine who came here from Egypt five years ago is of the opinion that Muslims in Egypt are radical. That being the case, he does not understand why the U.S. government continues to allow them to come to this country. This really puzzles and worries him.
He and others I know came to this country to escape the Muslim persecution of Christians. Unfortunately they have watched an immigrant Muslim owner of several chain restaurant fire all his Christian employees except one. He is keeping the one, I am told, so that he can say, "I'm not firing Christians. See, she is a Christian." This is less than a mile from my home. They thought they were escaping this type of thing. I think it will only get worse if attention is not paid to who come into this country.

9/11 was a horrific event. However, we are not entirely innocent. Our policy worldwide has been to grab and do whatever benefits us and only us. (I understand the simplicity of this statement, but this is the case in so many terms).
Preventing people from immigrating on the basis of religion or political ideology is in itself anti-American. It goes against the core belief of freedom and liberty in this nation.

Funny how such "compassion" looks so much like national suicide, isn't it?

Oh, wait a minute, I forgot, we are trying to deport them, prevent them from working, attending school, or paying for their own heath insurance.

We did, but E.M. Kennedy rewrote a bunch of laws around 1965 and now we have a big fat mess on our hands.

Somehow; the odds of Sharia taking root in the USA is slim at best, if nothing else, there is too much prejudice against Muslims for the Islamist element to do something stupid.
Too; a lot of our Muslims (in name only) apparently are true blue Americans-------unlike Europe.

Give it a rest, please. The Euros (both Anglos and Hispanics) were simply a group of bigger and badder 'Indians'.
Had the White race never existed; other groups would have taken down the American Indians..............Japan comes to mind. Besides; there were atrocities committed against weaker tribes by stronger groups----------the latter included the Aztecs and Comanches.

Native Americans should have put up a better fight. The 17th century was totally survival of the fittest. Native American's were not the fittest. I myself am part native American (as the family stories say), and I am not in the least bit upset about how history shaped out.
I firmly believe we should cut off Muslim immigration. Islam is anathema to Western culture, and if the West isn't careful, it may prove to be our downfall.

!!!! Are you kidding me? The 3000 people that died in the World Trade Center attack were entirely innocent! America was entirely innocent on that day! The rest of the world hates us because of the Western prosperity that we possess. There is a word for this. It is called jealousy. There is absolutely no justification for the mass murder of thousands of people because of jealousy.
Being that you came from Saudi Arabia, your opinion on those attacks only reinforces the fact that we shouldn't let Muslims into our country.
History shows that, when people of different cultures, religions, or political ideologys mix together, they don't just magically get along. They fight! Not one nation in all recorded history of our world has implemented a policy of multiculturalism and lasted long after. I hardly doubt America will be able to defy that trend.
