I would like to know an opinion from American people, or people who move to live in US. I really would like to know what the factor to bring them want to live in US. Also, good salary, good living or freedom is one of an important factor to make people want to live in US?

All of those things. And you can add marriage to your list. A lot of people fall in love with someone from a different country, and they immigrate to their loved one's nation.

I suspect there are as many different reasons for immigrating to the US (or any country, really0 as their are immigrants.

In my case it was way higher salary, even after accounting for the higher cost of living.

You can't just move to the USA and expect to get a good paying job. It's hard work here just like everywhere else.

Separation of religion from the government. OK to not be religious. Freedom of the press. Women's equality. OK to not marry or have children.

Not perfect in the above, but way better than most countries.

Jindapa,
For the same reason everyone else moves here, and has moved here for hundreds of years.
JOBS.
Plain and simple.
It's all about money and survival.
A lot of highly educated, hard working people immigrate here.

I could add a climate in here. Everyone can find here such type of climate as he\she wants.
I could hardly remember any other country with such amount of different climate zones.
Do you wanna winter - go to the north.
Do you like a Mediterranean (such as in Greece or Spain) - go to the west
Do you enjoy swimming in ocean and heat and humidity - set off to the south.
Also you can find any job almost in any city wherever you go. Many countries has a couple of huge cities whom includes all the main works but the rest cities have no work at all. People flock into huge cities who has already overсrowded, making them bigger yet. Here i didn`t notice the same troubles (excepting NY).

The U.S. is the wealthiest and most powerful country on earth. Why wouldn't people wish to immigrate to such a country?

Any first world country will get lots of immigration demand. Even borderline first world places like Chile and Eastern Europe get immigrants. Why wouldn't the richest country of all get immigrants?
