We got a new puppy who is already in need of a grooming. I've always owned big shedding dogs, and never used a groomer before.
This puppy is a Havanese which has long hair but I want him scissor cut into a puppy cut. Anyone know of a good groomer in the Emmaus/Macungie area? Will go to Allentown, too.

Thanks!

I also searched for a groomer.I wanted someone to groom by appointment - I hate dropping dogs off early in the morning and can't pick up until hours later. Try Barkin Barber on Kernsville Road. Marlene (the owner) is wonderful.

I forgot I posted this and just returned from a horrible grooming experience. I said, "Don't shave this havanese...have you cut this breed before?" She said YES. The dog didn't have any mats. Havanese should have a natural look to them and she shaved his nose and around his eyes. He looks like a monkey because she left all the other hair still long. Ugh.
When I have enough money for another grooming I'll try your groomer!

Default Bad haircut?

I am going to shopping in the area for a groomer soon. Who gave the bad haircut I should avoid? If you don't want to name names give a street to avoid.
My 8 year old Shih Tzu recently got a terrible haircut from his regular (usually good ) groomer in NJ. I am relocating to the Lehigh Valley soon.
Thank you!
