Default Public transportation from Lehigh Valley to Philly

I hope this is not a stupid question.

Is there any form of public transportation that links Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton with Philadelphia? Or is driving by private car the only option?

Once I heard the only way to travel between Allentown - Pennsylvania's third largest city - to Philadelphia (PA's largest city) was to take a bus from Allentown to New York City and then catch another bus to Philly. Yikes

Default Public Transportation to Philly

If you check out the SEPTA website you will see the different train stops/stations on the way to Phila. From what I'm told from friends who travel to Philly for work, the best and easiest station to use for Lehigh "Valleyites" is the Colmar station which is an approx. 25 minute drive from Allentown. Hope this helps.

Yeah, that would be pretty silly to go to NYC (1 1/2 hours) and then from there to Philadelphia when Philadelphia is just an hour away.

My husband drives to Philly pretty often but I prefer the train from Lansdale. I've done Colmar before but I like Lansdale because it has more frequent runs. SEPTA | Lansdale/Doylestown Line Regional Rail Schedule | Weekday | to Center City Philadelphia

Susquehanna Trailways (Allentown) and Greyhound (Easton) are also options.

the keystone is a limited stop train that runs from harrisburg to philly (it makes the run in about 1h45m)...I'd prefer this (maybe the comparable run to Philly might be 75 minutes for bethlehem to cc philly).
