Default New Chinese buffet open in Whitehall?

Does anyone know if the Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet opened yet in Whitehall? It was going in where the old Circuit City was on Grape Street. (Yes, I know there are already like 2 or 3 Chinese buffets in Whitehall.)

They sent out coupons in the mail in February, so I went there excited to stuff my face full of buffet foods, only to find the doors shuttered and what looked like at least a couple of weeks worth of construction yet to do. Clearly someone screwed up with the coupon or this place was on the rocks before it opened.

There is one from the at 3811 Linden St Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18020 (Kmart Plaza).

For my mind the Grand China Buffet and Grill at the Westgate Mall on Schoenersville Rd in Bethlehem is just as good and a lot less crowded. They installed a Hibachi Grill to be competitive.

I've been to the one on Linden St. and pretty much every other one in the valley with the exception of the one in Westgate Mall. Might have to do a drive-by of the new one in Whitehall if no one has any info...

The Westgate Mall can be $1 or $2 more on on portions of weekends, but I've never seen a line. Sometimes there are mobs at the Linden Street buffet. It is my understanding people give up on the hibachi because it takes so long. At Westgate you can easily eat only hibachi if you so desire.

I believe that one difference is that you can BYOB on Linden Street (there is a State Store across the street by Walmart). There is a state store in the Westgate Mall and a beer distributor basically across the street, but Grand China does not advertise BYOB.

I don't know about beverage price. Grand China supplies green tea gratis, which is what I happen to like drinking when I am eating Chinese.

Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet (Sears Shopping Center on Linden Street)
11:00-15:30 $6.99 Mon-Sat
15:30-22:00 $8.99 Mon-Wed
15:30-22:30 $9.99 Thu-Sat
11:00-22:00 $9.99 Sunday

Grand China Grill & Buffet (Westgate Mall)
11:00-15:30 $6.99 Mon-Fri
15:30-21:00 $8.99 Mon-Wed
11:00-15:30 $8.99 Sat ($2 more)
11:00-15:30 $8.99 Sun ($1 less)
15:30-21:30 $10.99 Thu-Sun ($1 more)

Default East Supreme Buffet

I didn't realize it at first, but the East Supreme Buffet at 2610 Macarthur Rd Whitehall 18052: by the Kmart, is the same company and the same prices as the one in the Westgate Mall in Bethlehem.

I presume that they are also identical buffets. So if Whitehall is closer to your home, there is no reason to drive to Bethlehem.

I didn't realize it either. I've been to both...pretty good. Still curious if the new one is open yet at circuit city.
