I get a free pass because I life a half-block away. It is barely worth the walk for me. But for kids? Good stuff. They love the animals and it might actually get them interested in something besides the video games...like 4H or some type of crafts.

SOA - Since you live so close, is the noise a bother?

The fair starts today - and lasts for a week - until the 2nd - in case anyone wants to go.

For me, it's a car rental and a stay with sister...tough sledding.
So I guess another year goes by without the Beer Garden and the moo cows.

I made my presence known. Walked through the Main Gate/Bier Garden. Stood in the corner drinking Landshark as terrible cover band played. Schmoozed with some of my other elitist associates. Talked to James Supra who is a legitimate LV blues Harmonica playing legend. Laughed at people who were going to see John Mayer. Laughed at Brian Knobbs hawking autographed pictures by Ritz Barbecue. Told him Pro Wrestling is garbage today. He seemed offended. Then he said if I want to have a cell phone pic with him, I have to give him $10. Told him to stick it! Many people from my past attempted to approach me and I waved them off. I have nothing to say to these people. I did run into a distinguished current associate and we walked through the fair together. ATe a Burrito and a Mountainville Cheeseburger.

At least you had a "good" time and I guess the weather was much better than today.
