Looking at a place in Hanover Township, seeing conflicting reports on crime etc. The area seems very quiet and well kept, but it's also close to all sorts of convenient shopping areas and the highway. I tried searching but can't find anything recent about people moving there.

There is a Hanover Township, Lehigh County (751 housing units) which contains the airport.
$136,300 median value owner occupied 2007-2011

There is also a Hanover Township, Northampton County (4405 housing units) which is far less commercial.
$312,500 median value owner occupied 2007-2011

It sounds like you are talking about Lehigh County. Can you confirm?

Sorry, that is indeed the one I'm talking about, Lehigh County. Technically it seems to be considered Bethlehem but has an Allentown address.

Lower middle class, 22% of population has college degree or higher. Poverty 15% of population. Only a scant 134 acres of township is zoned residential (out of 2731 total acres). The owners of the 751 houses pay almost no municipal taxes as airport and business district funds the township. Mostly townhomes. I don't think of it as high crime, but I certainly wouldn't call it low crime. Mostly it is too small to attract attention. School district (Catasaqua) is mediocre.

Renter occupied homes nearly the same as owner occupied which is typical of the cities.

It's by far the smallest population for a township in the Valley, and has a population more associated with a borough. Historically it was a portion of HT, Northampton County and was sheared off 200 years ago when Lehigh County was created.

Hanover Township in Northampton county has radically different demographics.

Thank you. Certainly sounds and looks better than the places in Allentown I was looking at before, that's for sure.
