That article just made me feel all warm and cozy . Well, it's nice to hear that Allentown and Bethlehem are both taking measurements to prevent the westward spread of gangs/crime.

Still, the majority of complaints I see on this message board are directed towards Allentown. I'm sure there are problems in Bethlehem but (from what I see [strictly based on what I read on this message board]) it doesn't appear to be as bad as Allentown. That is, aside from the article you presented which kind of made all three cities (including Easton) appear in equally problematic situations.

This is my first time visiting your sight. I started a fabulous job with a wonderfull surgeon 2 months ago. I've never worked in "downtown" Allentown before. I feel the difference as I drive from my home in Alburtis into Sacred Heart Hospital daily. I feel the tension increase at certain times of the day due to the "small crowds" that gather on the corners. I highly doubt it's MY position to enterpret what their doing. To me,...it looks like half are up to no good. With my doors locked and hope of home,.....I hightail it out of there!

Gang activity is just as bad in Bethlehem as it is in Allentown. The Pembroke and South Side areas are good examples.
